Coach Nick Abbruzzese

Nick Abbruzzese was born and raised in East Lake, Florida. He attended
Tarpon Springs Middle School before going to East Lake High School. He
graduated from East Lake in 2011. Coach Nick played baseball at East
Lake earning the Most Improved Award his senior year. After graduating
from East Lake, he went on to attend Eckerd College and was a walk on
to the Eckerd College baseball program. After two years at Eckerd,
Coach Nick transferred to Clearwater Christian College to play
baseball there, earning the starting catching position as a walk on in
his first season.

After college, Coach Nick was invited to workout for many MLB and
Independent League teams. In 2017, Coach Nick signed his first
professional baseball contract with the Alpine Cowboys, an Independent
League team. Later in the year he was released and then picked up by
the Hollywood Stars. He finished out his rookie year with the Stars
and boasted a .305 batting average between the two teams. Coach Nick
is currently getting ready for his second year of professional
baseball in which he will be moving up the ranks to play in a higher
Independent League.

His coaching experience began shortly after graduating high school. He
was an assistant coach at Anclote High School from 2011-2013, when home
from college. In 2016, Coach Nick began coaching for the Tampa Terror
travel ball team. He was named Junior Catching Coordinator and still
coaches with the Terror today. In 2017, he coached the East Lake
Little League Juniors team and helped them to a winning season.
